Their Path Back to God

The Israelites had just crossed over into the promised land, and their first challenge were the walls of Jericho. I found widely differing opinions as to dimensions, but all said there was a very thick and very tall outer wall with a very thick and even taller inward wall. It seemed a formidable and impossible task to overcome, but there was a promise behind those walls, a promise from God, and it’s being unfulfilled was truly impossible!

The walls keeping our prodigals from God—whether they be strongholds built by Satan or lies told by him—may seem formidable and impossible, but there is a promise on the other side of those walls for them, a promise from God, and those walls were already handled by Jesus when He  fulfilled Isaiah 40:4: “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain” (KJV). He has already made the paths flat, straight, and smooth for our prodigals, so they can run unimpeded to Him any time!
