No Contest!

It’s no contest, because “‘the LORD is in His holy temple’” (Habakkuk 2:20 NKJV).

Your prodigal may be living a life based on a lie about who God is, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living the lie that he or she doesn’t need God, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living in the lie that God doesn’t exist, but the LORD is still in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living in the lie that God exists, but Jesus isn’t His Son, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living in the lie that only those who are weak and need a crutch need God, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living in the lie that the Bible is just another book instead of the living, breathing very Word of God, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal spouse may be living the lie that the grass is greener on the other side and has left you and your family to be with another person, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living the lie that living together before marriage is okay because it is culturally accepted, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living a life based on a lie about their identity, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living in the lies of addiction, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living in the lie that you are the enemy, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

Your prodigal may be living in the lies that cause him or her to hate the church, but the LORD is in His holy temple!

No matter the lie they’ve based their current lives on, the LORD is in His holy temple, and He is almighty, all-powerful, all-sufficient, all-wise, and constantly good, having everlasting love and everlasting arms. These battles are really no contest to Him!

And He is all-knowing. He knew exactly where to tell Joshua to position Israel to fight against an enemy: “‘Lay an ambush for the city behind it’” (Joshua 8:2). Of course, He knows exactly what we need to do, say, and pray, and He will tell us how to fight, how to position ourselves, how to win the promised, and how to pray the promises in.

And, let me leave you with a promise: “‘I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him, And restore comforts to him And to his mourners’” (Isaiah 57:18).

“The LORD is in His holy temple.” No matter the lie, the King of kings is on His throne, and He has never been and will never be defeated. It is no contest with the Lord, who is in His holy temple!

The LORD is in His temple! Let’s call out the lies in prayer over our prodigals and speak truth and pray for truth to be the basis for their lives!
