For months during worship at our church, whenever I close my eyes, the Lord tells me, “Tami, open your eyes.” While there is nothing wrong with closing your eyes during worship, He reminds me to open them to watch for a promise to come true. I definitely do not want to miss seeing it come true.
The Lord doesn’t just want me to open my eyes for only one promise, but for everything He is doing and going to do, every promise He is fulfilling. He is telling me to open my eyes. He tells me repeatedly to open my eyes. It is important that I keep my eyes open!
This message isn’t just for me. It pertains to what is happening in the life of your prodigal. I don’t want to miss rejoicing with you, either.
We will see it! We just have to keep our eyes open. We just keep watching until it happens.
Isaiah 43:18–19 says: “‘Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
So, my message to you is: open your eyes and watch for your promise to come true. You do not want to miss it! If you are having a hard time believing enough to watch, ask the Lord to open your eyes and to remind you to keep them open so you will see it.
It is not the time to give up or to decide it will never come to pass! The Lord never promises anything that will not happen, and you do not want to miss the coming true of your promise!
