Bound and Boundaries

No. That isn’t a typo. I only meant Bound.

I thought of how bound our prodigals are.

But then I thought of Job and how God only let Satan go so far. I thought of oceans and how God determines their boundaries. I thought of Deuteronomy 33:27 that says “underneath are the everlasting arms” and how this promise says we can only fall so far. I believe there is a pattern here that voids every stronghold the enemy has worked so hard to build in our prodigals’ lives. God will only let Satan and his demons go so far.

God is Most High God, and there is no one even close to Him in power and might and sufficiency! He is Sovereign and has the final say, and He desires that all be saved (1 Timothy 2:4).

There is no comparison between our God and Satan’s strongholds and weapons! Satan cannot go past the boundaries set by our God! The bondages will not overcome the boundaries!

PROMISE: “There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them” (Deuteronomy 33:26-27 KJV).

PRAISE: Refuge, Sovereign

PRAYER: Our Father, I know You determine how far the oceans can go, and you decided just how far Satan could go in Job’s life. Thank You for the promise that Your everlasting arms are underneath us so we can only fall so far. Thank You for protecting ________ from Satan’s arsenal of weapons. Lift the veil so ________ can know the truth and be free from every bondage of the enemy in his/her life (Job 8:32). In Jesus’ name I pray.

Thank you for the reassurance that Satan can only go so far! I have been praying for my prodigal daughter for 8 years now with no indication of the desire to return to Christ. I pray Acts 3:19 every day and will continue to do so until Juree returns.
