There are two reasons God can make a promise: because of who He is, and because of what He knows.

Who He is:

1. Omnipresent, present in all times and places. The word tells us that He inhabits eternity: “For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy” (Isaiah 57:19 NKJV).
2. Sovereign-supreme ruler, supreme power and authority.
3. Omnipotent, all-powerful God. He simply can!

What He knows: Since He is already in eternity, He already sees what has happened! HE IS ALREADY SEEING IT! He is already seeing those prayers answered, that promise becoming a reality!

Isn’t that incredible?

Now, all we have to do is to catch up to where He is to witness first hand what He has already done in the lives of our prodigals!

This makes waiting a little easier, doesn’t it?
